Contract | Until 30/06/2027 + 6‑Month Extension | ACT – Hybrid | Baseline Clearance
A federal government agency we partner closely with has engaged us to support across several technical project and program management roles. These positions will support key ICT modernisation initiatives, including cloud development uplift, enterprise level service workflow enhancements and broader technology delivery, working collaboratively with internal teams and external delivery partners.
Technical Project Management – Responsibilities (EL1)
- Deliver major ICT projects end‑to‑end, including cloud development environment uplift and service delivery/enterprise workflow (ESM/ERP‑style) rollouts.
- Manage vendor and contract performance, ensuring delivery partners meet quality, integration, security and schedule commitments.
- Translate business and technical requirements into structured delivery plans, managing scope, milestones, risks and dependencies.
- Coordinate governance, reporting, assurance and executive documentation while driving agile/iterative delivery practices.
- Lead cross‑functional teams and support change, adoption and transition into BAU, maintaining strong stakeholder and partner relationships.
- Lead planning, governance and delivery across a multi‑stream ICT program, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and expected benefits.
- Manage program‑level interdependencies, prioritisation, risk/issue management and benefits oversight across multiple delivery streams.
- Provide leadership to project managers, ensuring consistent frameworks, standards, and effective vendor engagement.
- Oversee supplier performance and ensure commitments around scope, schedule and quality are met.
- Support organisational change, readiness and transition activities across business areas and technology domains.
Key Skills & Experience
Technical Project Management (EL1)
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex ICT or enterprise platform projects in vendor‑delivered environments.
- Strong vendor and contract management capability, including performance oversight and escalation management.
- Ability to interpret and translate technical concepts into structured delivery plans and clear stakeholder communication.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of governance documentation.
- Experience applying agile or iterative delivery practices.
- Must hold a minimum AGSVA Baseline Clearance.
Program Management (EL2)
- Demonstrated leadership of multi‑stream ICT programs or portfolios.
- Highly developed governance, prioritisation, risk management and benefits realisation capability.
- Strong communication and influence skills across senior stakeholders.
- Proven vendor and partner management across broad delivery streams.
- Ability to mentor and guide delivery teams and uplift delivery maturity.
- Must hold a minimum AGSVA Baseline Clearance.
