The Role
As a Systems Safety Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering systems and systems safety engineering across both sustainment and enhancement activities within Defence programs.
You will:
- Maintain and assure engineering documentation suites
- Provide formal systems and systems safety engineering advice
- Exercise delegated engineering authority
- Manage technical and safety risks across complex capability environments
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Sustainment teams
- Report directly to senior engineering leadership within CASG
About You
You’re an experienced Systems Safety Engineer who thrives in complex Defence environments and brings:
- Strong systems and/or systems safety engineering expertise
- Experience working within CASG or Defence capability programs
- Confidence navigating the One Defence Capability System (ODCS)
- Practical understanding of ASDEFCON
- Proven ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and Defence stakeholders
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or eligibility to obtain
- NV1 security clearance (mandatory)
