Emanate Technology is working with one of their key partners to identify a skilled and experience Strategic Writer.   A Canberra-based consultancy delivering expertise to the market across Management Advisory, Capability Management, and Information Technology Services. We are seeking seasoned Strategic Writers who have strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. You will be able to master the new subject matter quickly, identify key issues, analyse problems, and communicate clearly
your views and reasoning.
 
We work in highly sensitive areas so discretion is paramount. This is a full-time client-facing role. 5 days on site. 
 
Expectations:


  • Assist in the creation of capability proposals, including business cases, cabinet submissions, and Ministerial briefs.
  • Guide these proposals through the internal committee process for Government consideration.
  • Analyse project documentation to identify weaknesses in the business case.
  • Stay informed on government policy and direction to craft a persuasive narrative supporting proposal approval.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project teams, senior executives, internal stakeholders, and central agencies to garner support for the proposals
 
We are looking for strong candidates who have :


  • Strong writing skills – produce clear, concise, accurate, and timely documentation for cabinet consideration.
  • Skilled in analysing and interpreting complex issues to develop compelling business cases.
  • Proficient in persuasion and influence through strong engagement and collaboration skills.
  • Strategic in managing issues, applying expertise and innovative thinking.
  • Systematic planner, delivering quality products within agreed timeframes.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Capable of building positive working relationships with stakeholders while managing competing agendas.
  • Effective in managing pressure and coping with setbacks.
 
Education/Qualifications


  • Must have Active AGSVA Negative Vetting 1 (minimum)
  • Undergraduate and/or post-graduate degree qualifications, or equivalent work experience recognised by the firm
