We are working with a leading IT services provider that’s expanding its Canberra team and looking for an experienced Backup & Storage Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with strong Commvault expertise who enjoys a mix of hands-on technical work and client engagement.
You’ll be delivering secure, reliable, and compliant backup solutions for government and enterprise clients, while also playing a part in shaping future designs and improvements.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and deploying backup solutions using Commvault and Commvault Cloud (Metallic).
- Performing patching and upgrades to keep environments secure and reliable.
- Ensuring compliance with ISM controls and the Essential Eight framework.
- Collaborating with vendors and stakeholders on troubleshooting, RCA, and long-term fixes.
- Producing clear technical documentation – HLDs, LLDs, as-builts, and work instructions.
- 5+ years’ experience delivering Commvault solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills.
- Familiarity with ISM and Essential Eight frameworks.
- Confidence preparing solution designs and technical documentation.
- Industry certifications (Commvault, Veeam, etc.) are highly regarded.
