Our client are a leading financial services organisation who are seeking a Solution Architect to join their cloud platform team. This is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for shaping how the business designs, governs, and delivers technology solutions across multiple cloud platforms, hybrid environments, and SaaS applications. This role suits someone who thrives on strategic oversight, governance, and stakeholder engagement, and who can confidently influence multiple teams and projects across a complex enterprise environment.
This role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney and had hybrid working. 3 days in the office & 2 days working from home. You will need an engineering background, ideally in Cloud, Platform or DevOps.
The Solution Architect will:
- Unite teams and projects: coordinate cloud, infrastructure, and external contractors to ensure solutions are consistent, integrated, and effective.
- Lead governance and standards: define architecture frameworks, reusable patterns, and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and scalability.
- Simplify complexity: translate technical options into clear, practical advice for business stakeholders.
- Mentor and uplift capability: contribute to the Centre of Excellence, helping teams adopt best practices and improve technical skills.
- Oversee portfolio delivery: provide architectural guidance across a diverse set of projects and platforms, ensuring solutions meet business outcomes.
- Experience in enterprise or solution architecture, ideally across multiple cloud platforms, hybrid environments, and SaaS integrations.
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- An engineering background across Cloud, Platform or DevOps engineering
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in mentoring teams and driving best-practice adoption.
- Strategic thinker with a portfolio-level view of technology solutions.
