- Varied and challenging role
- Supportive team culture
This team operates more like a startup inside a larger organisation, owning and supporting a complex ecosystem of internally built systems, microservices, integrations, and legacy platforms that underpin critical business operations.
You won’t just be responding to incidents - you’ll be investigating how systems actually behave in production, working across APIs, services, data, and logs to diagnose and resolve issues.
Some days that might mean tracing a transaction across multiple services.
Other days it could involve digging through logs, querying databases, or identifying why a service isn’t behaving the way it should after a release.
The environment is broad and constantly evolving. The team owns multiple systems, ranging from modern services to long-running legacy applications, so curiosity and a willingness to understand how complex platforms work is key.
You must be based on Brisbane’s south side (initially in-office 5 days/week; occasional WFH after probation).
What you’ll do:
- Own and resolve support tickets end-to-end, keeping critical systems running smoothly
- Investigate and troubleshoot using SQL Server and custom-built applications
- Collaborate with developers to fix issues and implement improvements
- Support Windows Server environments and contribute to small projects
- Assist with system rollouts, process improvements, and change management
- Spot opportunities for improvement and help shape how systems evolve
- Experienced supporting bespoke, in-house applications - nothing off-the-shelf
- Strong SQL skills and comfort with a mix of legacy and modern technology
- Able to act as a bridge between users and developers, balancing reactive support with proactive improvements
- Bonus if you’ve worked with LMS, EDI or purchase order systems
- Take real ownership of critical systems and processes
- Work across a broad technical landscape - no narrow, repetitive support role
- Be part of modernisation and change, shaping systems that matter
- A hands-on, varied, and high-impact role - perfect for problem-solvers who thrive on variety and responsibility
