About the company:
Work for a well-known Defence provider on industry leading and exciting work, consulting into defence on a cutting-edge project. The company are experiencing substantial growth, having recently won a large and highly reputable project, working to provide Armoured Military Vehicles into Defence.
The Role:
The Software Integration Engineer is responsible for executing software integration activities within the company's Software Engineering team.
Primary Duties:
- Integrate, deploy, and maintain the software elements of the company's Electronic Architecture (EA) across all programs.
- Implement systems-security engineering in collaboration with the company's platform cyber security team.
- Support C4I capability through the systems engineering product lifecycle from concept to Design Acceptance for a Land Platform.
- Act as an owner of software deliverables and report on progress, proposed activities, risks, issues, and key priorities.
- Perform other software-related duties as required by the supervisor or Software Engineering lead.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline with relevant industry or domain work experience.
- Extensive experience in owning the complete software integration cycle, preferably in Land C4I: Software and System integration, deployment, testing, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in: AS GVA, AS LDM, RTI-DDS, CAN, Containers, Docker, Podman, KVM, Hyper-V, GitLab CI/CD pipeline, Python, Bash, automated software tests, Ansible, and network configuration.
- Strong experience integrating software running on both Windows and Linux.
- Expertise in Windows and Linux
- Desirable experience in integrating software in systems with strict Security, Safety, and Human Factor Engineering requirements.
- Experience with systems such as BMS-C2, BMS-F, AFATDS, DTCS, and C4ISREW is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility to meet organisational and team needs.
- Skilled in design reviews, V&V programs, test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for an Australian Government security clearance (minimum NV1 clearance level).
- Successful completion of a National Police History Check.
