We’re partnering with a large, well-established organisation to recruit a Software Developer to join a high-performing application development team here in Brisbane.
This role sits within a structured, enterprise environment and focuses on the ongoing development, enhancement and support of critical business applications. You’ll be working on a complex platform with a strong emphasis on stability, performance and continuous improvement, alongside a collaborative and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys hands-on coding, problem solving and contributing to meaningful systems in a mature delivery environment.
What you will be doing
- Developing, enhancing and maintaining enterprise applications in a complex environment
- Analysing change requests and triaging/resolving software incidents quickly and effectively
- Investigating and troubleshooting application issues, providing clear outcomes and recommendations
- Collaborating closely with developers, business teams and external vendors to deliver solutions
- Contributing to project work, including taking the lead on technical components where required
- Ensuring adherence to SDLC practices, coding standards and governance frameworks
- Supporting application performance, reliability and ongoing optimisation
- Strong experience in C# / .NET development in enterprise environments
- Solid SQL expertise with hands-on database development and troubleshooting
- Experience working with C in commercial or legacy system environments
- A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and structured delivery practices
- Proven ability to investigate, analyse and solve complex technical issues
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing requirements
- Experience with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
- Exposure to Linux/Unix environments
- Familiarity with technologies such as Postgres, XML, web services or AWS
- Experience working in highly regulated or enterprise-scale environments
- Exposure to modern front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular)
