Emanate Technology is supporting a Federal Government agency in their search for an experienced ServiceNow Architect / Senior Platform Administrator to join the team responsible for the ongoing management, support, and improvement of its ServiceNow environment.
 
This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on with the platform while also having input into architecture, technical direction, and platform strategy. You'll work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure the platform remains secure, stable, and capable of supporting the agency's future needs.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on ServiceNow architecture, platform design, licensing, upgrades, and future roadmap activities.
  • Review proposed solutions and ensure builds align with platform standards and best practice.
  • Help minimise technical debt by promoting sustainable design approaches.
  • Lead platform security and hardening activities.
  • Administer and support the ServiceNow platform, including troubleshooting incidents and resolving complex issues.
  • Deliver configuration changes and minor enhancements.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, development access, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to technical, architecture, and security documentation.
  • Mentor and support internal team members.
  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, testers, architects, and vendors to deliver platform outcomes.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years' ServiceNow experience in a Senior Administrator, Technical Lead, Platform Lead, or Architect role.
  • Experience working with the ServiceNow Protected Platform (SPP).
  • Previous experience supporting ServiceNow within a Government environment.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM principles and ServiceNow best practice.
  • Experience with:
  • Knowledge Management
  • Flow Designer
  • Service Bridge
  • Scripting
  • Notifications
  • Experience across one or more of:
  • Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
  • HR Service Delivery (HRSD)
  • Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of platform security, governance, and development standards.
  • Experience working within Agile teams and managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • This role requires a Baseline security clearnace.
