Team Supervisor – Tech Services

This position sits within the Technology Services function and works closely with the broader operations group to ensure smooth, reliable delivery of support services. The Team Supervisor plays a key role in guiding day‑to‑day service activities, fostering a high‑performing team culture, and ensuring customers receive timely, professional assistance. The role requires someone who can balance leadership with hands‑on involvement, maintain clear communication across the service lifecycle, and uphold performance expectations for managed services.

Operational Responsibilities:
• Provide oversight and coordination for service desk personnel, ensuring workloads, priorities, and service expectations are met.
• Lead the response to incidents and recurring issues, including major disruptions, and drive structured problem‑resolution practices.
• Apply ITIL‑aligned processes to ensure work is delivered at the correct support tier and escalated appropriately.
• Partner with operational teams to support change activities and manage technical escalations.

Planning & Service Improvement:
• Produce regular reporting on service performance, trends, and operational insights for leadership and stakeholders.
• Maintain awareness of commercial considerations to improve efficiency across customer engagements and internal operations.
• Review existing processes and recommend enhancements to strengthen service quality and operational maturity.
• Work with management to identify and implement cost‑effective technology improvements across the organisation.

Leadership & People Management:
• Provide consistent guidance, coaching, and accountability for team members, ensuring a supportive and productive environment.
• Oversee WHS responsibilities for the team, including travel planning, audits, and documentation requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Relevant certifications in technology, leadership, ITIL, or project delivery methodologies.

Desired Experience:
• Background in Windows Server environments (2008–2016).
• Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Familiarity with virtualisation platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V, AHV, or KVM.
• Strong communication, organisational capability, and time‑management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑moving environment with shifting priorities.
