Emanate Technology is partnering with a large   government department   in their search for an experienced Senior Workforce Planner for a critical program area. This is a contract role with multiple extensions available, offering a hybrid working model and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact ICT initiatives alongside a strong and collaborative team.

The Senior Workforce Planner will play a key role in shaping workforce strategy and ensuring capability alignment across a portfolio of ICT projects. The position will provide strategic insights and reporting that directly inform resource allocation, prioritisation, and funding decisions at the executive level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse workforce supply to identify capability gaps, underutilisation, and resourcing risks
  • Develop and maintain demand plans for both permanent and contracted staff
  • Create and maintain capability matrices and workforce allocation schedules
  • Deliver executive reporting packs and dashboards for senior leadership
  • Provide insights to guide workforce prioritisation and strategic decisions
  • Must have Australian Citizenship an active Baseline Clearance 
Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in workforce optimisation, planning, and organisational strategy
  • Proficiency in Power BI, data analysis, forecasting, and ICT workforce mapping
  • Proven ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align workforce programs to organisational priorities
Desirable
  • Experience supporting program and project delivery
  • Risk management expertise in workforce or project contexts
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
