We're partnering with a respected professional services organisation undergoing significant technology transformation and are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you'll design, build and operate modern cloud-native solutions while contributing to technical direction, engineering standards and architectural decisions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and building scalable cloud-native applications, APIs and integrations
- Developing event-driven and serverless solutions using modern cloud platforms
- Providing technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring and engineering best practices
- Collaborating with architects, product owners and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Contributing to the modernisation of existing platforms and applications
- Championing DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing and observability practices
- Ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, maintainable and cost-effective
- Strong commercial experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role
- Expertise with TypeScript and Node.js(Next.js experience highly regarded)
- Experience building cloud-native applications on Azure, AWS or GCP
- Proven delivery of distributed, event-driven and asynchronous systems
- Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns and modern software architecture
- Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and cloud observability practices
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Experience with serverless architectures
- NoSQL database experience, including data modelling and optimisation
- Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Experience modernising legacy applications and platforms
- Exposure to highly regulated or enterprise environments
