Emanate Technology is partnering with a leading Defence technology organisation to recruit Modelling & Simulation Engineers across multiple levels to join high-performing engineering teams delivering advanced capability to the Australian Defence sector.
The Opportunity We are building out multiple engineering squads (5–8 engineers per team), each responsible for delivering advanced software modelling and simulation projects across complex Defence domains.
Opportunities are available from mid-level through to senior engineers, with scope to contribute technically, lead components of delivery, or take on broader responsibility depending on experience.
Working onsite within the DSTG environment, you will collaborate closely with Defence stakeholders to solve real-world problems and deliver meaningful outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Engage with stakeholders to understand complex operational challenges
- Design and develop models of complex systems(radar, RF, EW, sensors, space, etc.)
- Execute simulations including scenario modelling and experimentation
- Build and integrate simulation software and data pipelines
- Validate and verify models against real-world or benchmark data
- Analyse outputs and deliver clear, defensible insights
- Contribute to system-level and system-of-systems modelling
- Support continuous improvement of tools, frameworks and methodologies
Tech & Tools
- Python, Java C++, MATLAB, Simulink
- APIs, data & code pipelines and simulation workflows
- Visualisation and analytics tools
We’re open to engineers across a range of experience levels, however you will bring:
- Background in software engineering, modelling or analytics
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
- Interest in complex systems and Defence capability
- Strong communication skills
- Onsite within DST (Defence Science & Technology)
- Work in small, high-performing squads (5–8 engineers)
