Emanate Technology is partnering with a leading Government agency to recruit a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to several critical projects designed to streamline government services and deliver innovative solutions.
Your work will focus on advancing spatial data structures and tools, implementing modern data processing practices, and developing cloud-native architectures and services that support the agency’s evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice across the full stack, from database through to user interface.
  • Lead architecture design and software engineering from inception to implementation.
  • Deliver system updates and enhancements based on existing backlogs.
  • Develop and improve science data pipelines, including emerging pipeline designs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into actionable tasks.
Technical Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience architecting and refactoring complex applications across web and desktop environments.
  • Ability to work with business analysts to translate requirements into detailed technical tasks.
  • Experience in the spatial industry or working with spatial systems and data.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and other programming languages.
  • Experience delivering applications in a cloud environment, specifically AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of version control systems and associated processes.
