About the Role
We’re supporting a large government department undergoing a significant digital transformation, and they are seeking an experienced Senior Front?End Developer to join a high?profile program modernising critical justice and citizen?facing systems.
You’ll work closely with solution architects, SMEs, BAs and testers to build and enhance a modern online services portal, contributing to a major uplift in digital service delivery. This is a highly collaborative environment that values quality, openness, and a positive team culture.
What You Will Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining front?end solutions using React.js within an Azure ecosystem.
- Administering and enhancing Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories and artefacts to support efficient CI/CD practices.
- Ensuring all deliverables meet established coding standards, frameworks, and industry best practice.
- Managing source code, iterative development and contributing to architectural and design artefacts.
- Translating user stories and functional requirements into robust technical specifications.
- Producing accurate technical documentation and supporting material.
- Providing technical leadership within the team and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and high?quality delivery.
- 5+ years’ experience building front?end applications with React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong background in Microsoft?based technologies and Azure cloud environments.
- Hands?on experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, repos and CI/CD automation.
- Ability to work in complex environments with multiple domains and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, problem?solving and collaboration skills.
- Strong understanding of modern design patterns and scalable architecture.
- Experience with ASP.NET, HTML, CSS or backend integration.
- Exposure to large?scale enterprise or government environments.
- Knowledge of justice, legal services or highly regulated sectors.
- Formal qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
