We're partnering with a major State Government department seeking an experienced specialist to join a high-performing digital team delivering complex automation and integration solutions across the ServiceNow platform.
About the Role
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building and supporting enterprise-grade automated solutions. You’ll work closely with technical and non-technical teams to enhance service delivery, streamline workflows, and drive continuous improvement across the ServiceNow environment.
You’ll also act as a technical advisor within the team, helping shape solution design, guiding best practice, and ensuring robust, scalable outcomes.
What You Will Be Doing
- Providing operational and administrative support for the organisation’s ServiceNow platform.
- Designing and delivering automated integrations using Integration Hub, custom APIs, REST/SOAP and MID Server configurations.
- Developing reusable enterprise-grade spokes, actions and workflow automation using Flow Designer.
- Leading the design, documentation and implementation of technical solutions that support automated service offerings.
- Working collaboratively with digital teams to ensure seamless delivery and outstanding customer outcomes.
- Offering technical guidance and recommendations to improve business efficiency and enable modern service management capability.
- Degree qualifications in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience as a ServiceNow Developer, including SDLC experience across Service Catalog, Integration Hub, Web APIs and MID Servers.
- Strong proficiency in .NET and PowerShell.
- Extensive experience with REST, SOAP, JDBC, message queues (e.g. Kafka via Stream Connect) and broader integration patterns.
- ServiceNow integration expertise including Hub design, custom spokes, Flow Designer orchestration and reusable action development.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical groups.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage ambiguity, handle pressure and deliver within tight timeframes.
- A collaborative mindset and positive, flexible approach to problem-solving.
- ITIL certification (minimum five years’ experience applying ITIL practices).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Integration Hub
- Experience working within large, complex organisations or public-sector environments
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing MID Servers
- Ability to influence decision-making across senior levels
