Emanate Technology is working with a key client to seek the services of a senior, experienced program scheduler to support the successful delivery of a complex, multi-project program. This is a 12-month opportunity offering a collaborative hybrid work environment and the chance to contribute to nationally significant initiatives.
About the Role
The Program Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring projects remain on track, resources are allocated effectively, and key milestones are achieved. This position requires strong technical scheduling skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to provide strategic insight across the program lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Program and Project Managers to monitor and maintain accurate program and project schedules.
- Develop and implement advanced scheduling methodologies to support continuous program delivery.
- Maintain the Master Schedule across all program streams.
- Coordinate inter-project dependencies and align resource allocation accordingly.
- Validate and track project delivery activities to ensure milestones are met.
- Ensure scheduling practices comply with departmental program management frameworks.
- Identify and address potential scheduling risks or obstacles.
- Analyse resource utilisation to identify risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Contribute to scheduling governance and data-driven decision-making processes.
We are looking for someone who has proven experience in:
- Program or project scheduling within complex, multi-project environments.
- Strong proficiency in scheduling tools and an ability to analyse and interpret resource data, and generate actionable insights. High level ability to work to deadlines while managing multiple tasks of differing priority.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, PRINCE2).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to diplomatically manage expectations and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Experience in governance and compliance related to scheduling and resource management.
- Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Prior experience delivering similar expertise to the federal government.
- Location: Canberra-based (Hybrid – 2 days in-office per week)
- Contract Term: 12 months
- Clearance: Australian Citizenship required; baseline security clearance is essential.
