Our client are a well known enterprise organisation and due to a large amount of funding & growth within the organisation, they are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to work across their multi cloud environment (AWS & Azure) and Terraform.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the organisation’s infrastructure automation capability, building reusable Infrastructure as Code modules, contributing to the internal developer platform, and ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to best practice.
Although this is a large enterprise environment, you’ll have genuine autonomy to bring your ideas to life and make a meaningful impact. This is a senior role, and they’re looking for someone who can operate at that level - both technically and from a broader platform perspective.
Day to day, you’ll be hands-on across Terraform, AWS, Azure, and CI/CD tooling. Beyond this, you’ll act as the owner of the IaC capability, guiding best practices across the engineering team and supporting others in overcoming technical challenges.
What you’ll do
- Own the design, implementation, and management of the Azure & AWS cloud platforms, ensuring they're robust, scalable, and secure
- Lead the adoption of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Drive automation across provisioning, configuration, and deployment, using CI/CD tools using Jenkins
- Lead platform engineering capabilities; reusable IaC modules, Internal Developer platforms, define guardrails
- Design secure network architectures and enforce security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance
- Extensive experience with AWS & Azure cloud services with enterprise-scale platform management
- Must have strong IaC skills and specifically, Terraform
- Strong skills in IaC, automation, and CI/CD, using Terraform, Jenkins, PowerShell, Python and more
- Experience leading and mentoring engineers, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
