Our client are a well known enterprise organisation in the finance sector and due to a large amount of funding & growth within the organisation, they are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to work across their multi cloud environment (Mostly Azure, with some AWS) and Terraform. You’ll take ownership of the automation capabilities by building reusable IaC modules, Internal Developer platform & ensuring scalability.
Although it’s an enterprise environment, you’ll have genuine autonomy to bring your ideas to life and make an impact. It’s a senior role, and they’re specifically looking for someone with that level of experience.
You will help this organisation move away from ClickOps and cloud as a service, where you will guide the application teams to adopt new Azure PaaS services securely, define guardrails, and codify best practices utilising CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Python & PowerShell.
You will work from home 50% of the time, plus receive flexibility in your day to day too. They are results driven and trust you to get the job done.
What you’ll do
- Own the design, implementation, and management of the Azure & AWS cloud platforms, ensuring they're robust, scalable, and secure
- Lead the adoption of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Drive automation across provisioning, configuration, and deployment, using CI/CD tools using Jenkins
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions with Dynatrace and Azure Monitor to ensure visibility and proactive issue resolution
- Design secure network architectures and enforce security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance
- Extensive experience with Azure cloud services and architecture, with enterprise-scale platform management
- Strong skills in IaC, automation, and CI/CD, using Terraform, Jenkins, PowerShell, Python and more
- Experience leading and mentoring engineers, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
