You’ll be working across a mix of BAU and a long-term modernisation program, building and improving systems used across Parliamentary departments. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate closely with developers, architects, and stakeholders across cyber, infra and architecture.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing, building and testing .NET applications
- Working closely with cyber security, infrastructure and architecture teams
- Contributing to modern, secure, scalable solutions
- Managing and prioritising work across a DevOps backlog
- Collaborating with BAs, architects and other developers to deliver quality outcomes
- Getting involved in broader delivery work to keep things moving
- 7+ years’ experience in software development across the full SDLC
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments
- Solid team experience and understanding of SDLC practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
- Experience working on large or transformation programmes is a bonus
- MUST HAVE NV1 DUE TO NATURE OF THE CLIENT AND SYSTEMS NEEDED TO ACCESS
- .NET / .NET Core, C#
- Web APIs (REST)
- JavaScript / TypeScript + React or Angular
- SQL Server, Entity Framework
- Azure / cloud exposure (nice to have)
- CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps (or similar)
- Git / source control
- Long-term program of work (not short-term churn)
- Meaningful government systems
- Strong, collaborative team
- Good mix of BAU + project work
