Our client are a well known enterprise organisation and due to a large amount of funding & growth within the organisation, they are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to work across their multi cloud environment (AWS & Azure) and Terraform. You’ll take ownership of the automation capabilities by building reusable IaC modules, Internal Developer platform & ensuring scalability.
Although it’s an enterprise environment, you’ll have genuine autonomy to bring your ideas to life and make an impact. It’s a senior role, and they’re specifically looking for someone with that level of experience.
You will help this organisation move away from ClickOps and cloud as a service, where you will guide the application teams to adopt new PaaS services securely, define guardrails, and codify best practices utilising CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Python & PowerShell.
You will work from home 50% of the time, plus receive flexibility in your day to day too. They are results driven and trust you to get the job done.
What you’ll do
- Own the design, implementation, and management of the Azure & AWS cloud platforms, ensuring they're robust, scalable, and secure
- Lead the adoption of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Drive automation across provisioning, configuration, and deployment, using CI/CD tools using Jenkins
- Lead platform engineering capabilities; reusabe IaC modules, Internal Developer platforms, define guardrails
- Design secure network architectures and enforce security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance
- Extensive experience with AWS & Azure cloud services with enterprise-scale platform management
- Must have strong IaC skills and specifically, Terraform
- Strong skills in IaC, automation, and CI/CD, using Terraform, Jenkins, PowerShell, Python and more
- Experience leading and mentoring engineers, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
