This is a broad, hands-on role where you'll work across data engineering, cloud technologies and analytics environments. You'll help build and support critical data capabilities, improve platform performance, automate processes and contribute to the ongoing modernisation of a complex technology environment.

About the Role
- Design, build and support enterprise data platforms and analytics environments
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, integrations and data services
- Work across SQL Server, Power BI, Python, R and SAS environments
- Support and enhance Azure-based data services and cloud platforms
- Develop automation and scripting solutions to improve platform performance and operational efficiency
- Support Windows and Linux-based development and analytics environments
- Work with containerised and virtualised technologies including Docker and VMware
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement long-term improvements
- Work closely with infrastructure, cyber security and business teams to deliver reliable outcomes
- Produce technical designs, support documentation and operational procedures
- Strong experience working as a Data Engineer in a complex enterprise environment
- Strong SQL skills, including data modelling, integration and database development
- Experience building and supporting data pipelines and analytics platforms
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure services
- Strong Python skills for scripting, automation or data engineering
- Experience supporting technologies such as SQL Server, Power BI, SAS and R
- Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Git or similar tooling
- Exposure to Docker, VMware, Linux or Windows Server environments
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work across both project delivery and operational support activities
- Experience supporting research, modelling or statistical computing environments
- Experience with RStudio, Posit or specialist analytics platforms
- Azure, Data Engineering or DevOps certifications
- Experience within Federal Government or large enterprise environments
- Exposure to AI-enabled technologies such as Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot
