We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer
to play a critical role in the implementation of a new greenfield data lakehouse environment. This position will lead the development of modern data pipelines, implement cloud-based warehousing solutions, and drive data quality and governance across a high-impact program.
You will design and maintain scalable data workflows, provide architectural input, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure a secure, high-performing data platform that powers real-time insights and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Design, build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and Azure Data Factory
- Implement and optimise Databricks-based data transformations
- Develop and maintain data models and data warehouse solutions for analytics and business intelligence use cases
- Use Azure DevOps to manage CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment of data solutions
- 5+ years’ experience in data engineering, ideally within greenfield or complex environments
- Hands-on experience with:
- Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse
- Must have hands on coding experience in Python, SQL, PySpark
- CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL frameworks
