In collaboration with the Queensland State Government, Emanate Technology is looking for a technically-savvy Senior Business Analyst
to support a critical ICT initiative. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies, SharePoint and the ability to work closely with developers to turn business needs into real-world digital solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- Scoping and developing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Collaborating with developers to ensure solution alignment with business needs
- Capturing and analysing business requirements across complex stakeholder groups
- Modelling and mapping business processes using BPMN standards
- Supporting agile delivery teams through sprint planning and backlog grooming
- Contributing to key project artefacts: functional specs, statements of work, test scenarios
- Representing the department in stakeholder consultations across government and NGO sectors
- Translating technical requirements for non-technical audiences, and vice versa
What you need to bring
- Experience working as a BA on government ICT projects
- Background working with developers and technical teams to translate business needs
- Experience delivering requirements using Agile frameworks and sprint cycles
- Background working with BPMN modelling and tools such as MS Visio
- Experience developing artefacts such as user stories, impact assessments, and requirements documentation
- Background working with platforms like Azure DevOps or JIRA for requirements and lifecycle management
- Experience communicating confidently with diverse stakeholders and project teams
- Background applying PRINCE2 or Agile project methodologies
- Experience supporting O365 and SharePoint project implementations
Bonus points for…
- Strong understanding of Power BI and PowerApps
- Familiarity with M365 and SharePoint architecture
- Insight into business transformation in government contexts
