The team are currently seeking a Security, Risk and Quality Assurance Lead to lead the practical execution of Defence-grade security governance, risk and assurance activities. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role manages the day-to-day execution of higher-risk security and assurance obligations, while supporting broader operational governance, quality and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Lead DISP aligned security governance across physical, personnel, information, and cyber domains.
  • Manage enterprise security risk: assess, mitigate, monitor, and lift security maturity.
  • Oversee assurance activities, compliance reviews, and Defence aligned reporting.
  • Investigate and escalate security incidents, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Deliver personnel and physical security functions in line with Defence standards.
  • Promote a strong security culture through training, awareness, and embedded practices.
  • Provide internal and client facing security advice.
  • Support security-related facilities controls and coordinate with Operations, ICT and external providers to maintain safe, secure and compliant work environments.
  • Support quality assurance activities across DISP, QMS, audit evidence, corrective actions and operational compliance obligations.

What You’ll Bring
 
  • NV1 clearance(mandatory).
  • Strong experience in Defence security governance, DISP, PSPF, DSPF, and ASIO Technical Notes.
  • Demonstrated experience with AGSVA, risk assessments, and implementing security controls.
  • Ability to manage assurance activities and support high risk security obligations.
  • Relevant qualifications in security, risk, project management, or government security (desirable).
  • Collaborative, steady, and confident working style suited to complex Defence environments.
