My client is seeking a Control System Engineer
to take ownership of their in-house motion control algorithms developed in MATLAB/Simulink. You will be key to refining the fidelity and responsiveness of our motion platform, enabling immersive and accurate simulation across a range of vehicle types. This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring collaboration across engineering, software, and integration teams to ensure system performance and quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Own, maintain and enhance the in-house motion control algorithm
- Design, develop and tune motion cueing algorithms for new simulation environments
- Tune high/low-pass motion filters to maximise motion platform responsiveness
- Customise motion integration for specific vehicle types while maintaining generic capability
- Document tuning processes, outcomes and best practices
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration and performance
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in modelling physical or motion systems
- Strong understanding of control systems, including high-pass/low-pass filters and PID controllers
- Advanced proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Experience with motion cueing algorithms
- Familiarity with inverse kinematics and robotic control (especially KUKA/KRL)
- Experience working in Agile software development environments
- Knowledge of safe operation in mixed human-machine environments
