Emanate Technology is proud to partner with ASC, Australia’s sovereign submarine builder, to recruit a People Systems (HRIS) Specialist who will play a key role in delivering ASC’s people technology strategy. This is a strategic, hands-on role supporting ASC’s mission-critical workforce across major defence programs.
About the Role As ASC’s People Systems (HRIS) Specialist, you will:
- Lead the implementation, optimisation, and day-to-day management of People Systems across the organisation.
- Ensure HR platforms are secure, reliable, accurate, and aligned with ASC’s workforce and operational requirements.
- Partner with P&C and IT to maintain data integrity, system governance, and process efficiency.
- Configure systems to support enterprise-wide initiatives including talent, mobility, compliance, and reporting.
- Provide technical expertise, user support, and insights that enable informed decision-making across ASC.
- Support continuous improvement and the evolution of ASC’s people technology environment.
What ASC Is Looking For Essential Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in HR, IT, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in HRIS or People Systems roles.
- Strong experience with HR platforms such as Workday (highly desirable), SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar.
- Capability with data and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Understanding of data privacy, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated project management and system implementation experience.
- Experience within defence, government, or highly regulated industries is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Strong stakeholder management and influence across senior levels.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational discipline.
- Analytical mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to operate across global teams and time zones.
- Contribute to nationally significant defence programs.
