$125,000 - $135,000 + Super
Remote in Australia (Very occasional office get-togethers)
Opportunity to work with a cutting edge stack
Overview:
Our client is a large Australian-based organisation currently in growth mode, looking to add a skilled Network Automation Engineer to their team. This role sits at the intersection of Networks, Automation, and Software Engineering. You’ll be part of a collaborative team building internal tools and platforms that support thousands of users - streamlining delivery through advanced monitoring systems and DNS support services.
Instead of just configuring routers manually, they’ll write code to automate, monitor, and scale the network - making sure it runs smoothly and efficiently, 24/7.
This role is 90% remote, you can work in any City across Australia, however there will be occasional get-togethers in the office (Roughly once per quarter).
What you will be doing:
• Developing effective relationships with all key stakeholders, including other team members of Network Engineering, Systems Integration, Operations, and the broader business.
• Collaborating to effectively design, maintain and operate the network and systems and continually improving associated products and services.
• Developing and coordinating technical specifications for final approval by the Principal Engineer and Network Engineering Team Lead.
• Research and development into new technologies, platforms and services that may benefit the business and its operations.
About You:
• Experience working in a service provider environment with a role in implementing, maintaining networks and/or systems
• Experience working with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco (IOS and IOS-XR), Juniper, HPE Comware, Mikrotik, and A10.
• Experience in software development, primarily back-end, in languages such as Go, Rust, NodeJS, Python.
• Experience in Linux server environments, and containerisation technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with broadband operational support systems such as RADIUS, billing and CRM, DNS, CG-NAT, QoE
