An established, operationally complex organisation is seeking a Manager, Data and Technology to lead delivery across data, analytics, automation, and business‑facing technology platforms.
Over recent years, strong foundations have been built across data and enterprise systems. The focus of this role is now on optimising performance, improving adoption, and driving tangible business outcomes, rather than constant net‑new build.
This role sits between executive leadership and delivery teams, owning priorities, sequencing, and outcomes. You will lead a small specialist data and analytics team and act as the business owner and delivery lead for vendor‑led technology initiatives across the organisation.
This is not a hands‑on engineering or infrastructure role, but it does require strong technical literacy, delivery confidence, and excellent stakeholder skills.
Why this role is different:
- Mature, stable platforms already in place
- Strong executive support for data‑led and technology‑enabled change
- Clear focus on ROI, adoption, enablement, and practical outcomes
- Broad remit across data, analytics, automation, and enterprise systems
- High‑impact role influencing how the organisation operates day to day
Data and Analytics Delivery
- Own and deliver the data and analytics roadmap with a clear focus on value and outcomes
- Guide design and prioritisation across data pipelines, reporting, forecasting, and automation
- Improve platform performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and usability
- Strengthen data governance, quality, and trust across the business
- Lead delivery of business‑facing IT initiatives outside of core infrastructure and support
- Act as the project owner and de facto project manager for vendor‑delivered systems and enhancements
- Translate business needs into clear scope, sequencing, and delivery plans
- Manage external vendors and consultants against cost, timelines, and agreed outcomes
- Coordinate dependencies with IT operations to ensure smooth implementation and transition
- Own adoption, change management, and benefit realisation for technology initiatives
- Partner closely with senior leaders, operational managers, and corporate teams
- Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and prioritisation discussions
- Drive training, onboarding, and upskilling to increase confidence and usage
- Communicate change clearly in environments where operational continuity is critical
- Lead, develop, and retain a small, high‑performing data and analytics team
- Provide clarity of priorities and foster a strong delivery culture
- Create effective operating rhythms across planning, delivery, and review
- Reduce key‑person risk through capability uplift and cross‑training
The organisation combines corporate teams with highly operational, frontline environments. Many initiatives require engaging with time‑poor teams who prioritise keeping operations running.
Success in this role depends on:
- Being practical, credible, and respectful of operational realities
- Communicating clearly and avoiding unnecessary disruption
- Building trust with people who are not inherently technology‑focused
About you:
You are a delivery‑focused leader who sits comfortably between business, operations, and technology. You may already be operating at a manager level, or you may be a senior team lead ready to step up.
You are likely to bring:
- Experience leading data, analytics, technology, or transformation initiatives
- Strong delivery and project management discipline
- Confidence acting as the business lead for vendor‑delivered systems
- The ability to influence and build trust across diverse stakeholder groups
- Practical judgement and comfort operating in environments where operational continuity is critical
- Sufficient technical literacy to challenge decisions without needing to be on the tools
Career progression and future opportunity:
This role offers genuine long‑term career progression. As the organisation continues to mature its use of data and technology, there is clear scope for expanded leadership responsibility.
For the right person, this role provides exposure to executive decision‑making, enterprise‑wide delivery, and strategic technology leadership. Over time, there is real potential to grow into broader technology or data leadership roles as capability, trust, and organisational needs evolve.

- Working model: 4 days per week in the office with 1 day WFH

- Salary: Base salary in the range of $160,000 to $180,000 + super, depending on experience
