I am seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineers to join a high-profile program responsible for delivering a significant Microsoft 365 migration and modernisation initiative. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the transition to a new Microsoft 365 environment while working alongside architects, project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Candidates with experience delivering Microsoft 365 solutions within the Australian Federal Government environment will be highly regarded.

About the Role As a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation, administration, support, and migration of Microsoft 365 services within a complex enterprise environment. You will contribute to a successful migration strategy and ensure business continuity throughout the transition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical implementation, administration, and migration activities supporting the transition to a new Microsoft 365 tenant
  • Configure, administer, and support Microsoft 365 technologies including:
    • Exchange Online
    • SharePoint Online
    • Microsoft Teams
    • OneDrive for Business
    • Microsoft Entra ID
    • Microsoft Copilot
  • Execute migration activities for:
    • User identities
    • SharePoint Online environments
    • OneDrive content and data
  • Configure and support identity and access management controls
  • Perform testing, validation, troubleshooting, and remediation activities
  • Develop technical documentation, migration runbooks, support artefacts, and service transition documentation
  • Work closely with architects, project managers, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Contribute to migration planning, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Microsoft 365 implementation and migration projects within enterprise environments
  • Strong hands-on experience across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Microsoft Copilot
  • Proven experience executing tenant-to-tenant migration activities
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 identity, authentication, and access management concepts
  • Experience developing technical documentation and operational support materials
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • NV1 Required
Highly Desirable
  • Previous experience delivering Microsoft 365 solutions within the Australian Federal Government
  • Experience working in secure, complex, or regulated environments
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications across Microsoft 365, Azure, Security, or Identity technologies
