We’re on the lookout for a talented Infrastructure Consultant
to join a leading enterprise technology consulting team in Canberra. This is a hands-on role where you’ll deliver and implement cutting-edge infrastructure solutions, working closely with clients to understand their environment and provide practical, impactful recommendations.
As an Infrastructure Consultant, you’ll be front and centre with clients on projects spanning architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and optimisation of RHEL and open source infrastructure technologies.
What you’ll do:
- Act as a trusted adviser to clients and project teams, delivering tailored solutions to meet technical and business needs
- Serve as the go-to subject matter expert on-site, addressing complex IT, development, and infrastructure challenges
- Stay ahead of technology trends and apply them to solve client problems
- Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities with agility
- Identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues, supporting system design, deployment, and optimisation
- Contribute to internal initiatives, create consulting white papers, and share knowledge across the team
- Manage project kick-offs, guide implementation teams, and track progress to ensure successful outcomes
- Handle escalations and sensitive client conversations professionally
- This position requires an active TSPV security clearance.
- Experience working with clients on Linux and open source infrastructure projects
- RHEL and UNIX/Linux administration experience, including database management and performance tuning
- Experience in Linux environments and related infrastructure technologies, including:
- Automation/orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible)
- System management platforms (e.g., Satellite or similar)
- Authentication and identity management services
- Virtualisation technologies
- Knowledge of Linux security practices and tools
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or shell scripting
- Professional certifications in Linux (or willing to pursue within 90 days)
- Problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- This position requires an active TSPV security clearance.
