About the Role
We are partnering with a leading VMware delivery partner and Broadcom Partner of the Year 2026, supporting major Australian enterprise organisations - Think ASX200. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced VMware Architect to join a high-performing delivery team. This is a hands-on architecture role where you will design, lead, and deliver complex VMware-based solutions across large-scale, mission-critical enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect VMware-based solutions across compute, storage, and network domains
- Lead the delivery of secure, scalable virtualisation platforms within Federal Government environments
- Work closely with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and architecture standards
- Provide technical leadership across VMware Cloud, SDDC, and hybrid cloud solutions
- Ensure alignment with Australian Government security frameworks (e.g. ISM, Essential Eight)
- Support pre-sales activities, including solution design and client engagement where required
- Proven experience as a VMware Architect or Senior Engineer in complex environments
- Strong expertise across:
- VMware vSphere, vCenter
- VMware NSX (network virtualisation)
- VMware vSAN / storage solutions
- VMware Cloud (including hybrid and multi-cloud architectures)
- Experience delivering into Australian Federal Government environments
- Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks (ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience with VCF 9
- VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, or VCDX)
- TOGAF or Zachmann Certification
- Experience with automation (PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible)
