We are seeking an experienced ICT Sourcing Lead to join a high-performing procurement team responsible for delivering strategic sourcing outcomes across a broad portfolio of ICT goods and services. This role will see you leading complex procurement activities, providing trusted advice to business stakeholders, and driving value-for-money outcomes across the organisation.
Working within an established procurement function, you'll manage end-to-end sourcing processes across software, hardware, professional services, consulting engagements and technology-related contracts. You'll also play a key role in supporting procurement planning, developing sourcing strategies, and mentoring other procurement professionals.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead complex end-to-end ICT procurement and sourcing activities across a variety of categories.
- Develop sourcing strategies and category plans that align with organisational objectives.
- Prepare and manage tender documentation, evaluation processes, supplier negotiations and contract recommendations.
- Provide specialist procurement advice to business stakeholders throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Conduct market analysis and supplier research to support informed sourcing decisions.
- Support procurement pipeline planning and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ensure procurement activities are compliant with governance, policy and contractual requirements.
- Coach and mentor procurement team members, helping to build capability across the function.
- Maintain accurate procurement and contract records within corporate systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex ICT procurement and sourcing projects.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end tendering, evaluation and contract management processes.
- Proven experience providing strategic procurement advice to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written communication skills and high attention to detail.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work autonomously and deliver outcomes.
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Procurement, Commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience working with Queensland Government ICT procurement frameworks, including QITC General and Comprehensive contracts, is essential.
- Experience procuring complex ICT solutions, software licensing, cloud services, professional services or managed services.
- Exposure to category management and strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Experience working within large government, utilities, infrastructure or enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with procurement and contract management systems such as SAP, Ready Contracts or Objective.
- Previous experience mentoring, coaching or developing procurement professionals.
