Our client is a high-profile national organisation operating across classified and unclassified environments, delivering mission-critical outcomes. They are currently seeking an experienced IT Change Manager
to join their growing Infrastructure & Services team based in Canberra.
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for managing and governing all IT technical changes across secure environments, ensuring rigorous change controls are in place while enabling business continuity and operational resilience. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a well-established Change Management framework and elevate it through collaboration, structure, and influence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process, ensuring proposed changes are thoroughly assessed and aligned to business and technical standards
- Evaluate change requests for technical impact, risk mitigation and operational readiness
- Oversee the change calendar across all environments, including planned outages and deployments
- Define and communicate roles and responsibilities throughout the change lifecycle
- Provide change-related impact communications to business stakeholders
- Deliver ongoing training and support to technical teams, cyber teams, and business users on the change process
- Produce reporting on change progress, incidents, and outcomes
- Support broader IT Operations initiatives where required
- NV1 Security Clearance(or the ability to obtain one)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar IT Change Manager role
- ITIL certification and demonstrated experience in implementing ITIL-aligned change practices
- Familiarity with change governance across classified systems and frameworks such as ISM or JSIG RMF
- Strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and system environments
- Proven ability to work across cross-functional teams and influence at all levels
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills
- High levels of personal integrity, discretion, and resilience in dynamic, high-pressure environments
