I'm currently partnering with a Global Consultancy seeking an experienced and motivated Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Practice Leader to drive the growth and technical excellence of our Google Cloud Practice. This leadership role combines strategic business development, technical architecture expertise, and customer engagement—ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, enterprise cloud environments.
You’ll be responsible for defining go-to-market strategies, leading complex customer engagements, and overseeing the design and delivery of cloud solutions, with a strong focus on AI/ML, Infrastructure Services, Cloud Operations, and DevOps automation.

Key Responsibilities Practice & Business Leadership

• Define and execute go-to-market strategies for GCP across industries and customer segments.
• Develop differentiated solution offerings aligned with Google Cloud capabilities.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and alliances to drive pipeline and revenue growth.
• Build and scale a high-performing delivery team of architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Represent the practice in client engagements, industry events, and thought leadership initiatives.

• Lead discovery sessions, assessments, and solution design workshops with enterprise customers.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout cloud transformation journeys.
• Design enterprise-grade cloud architectures aligned with business goals.
• Develop migration roadmaps and conduct readiness assessments.
• Present technical solutions to C-level stakeholders and technical teams.
• Drive customer adoption of GCP best practices and architectural frameworks.

• Lead the delivery of complex cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Architect scalable, secure, and cost-optimized GCP solutions.
• Oversee the implementation of cloud-native apps, serverless solutions, and DevOps pipelines.
• Establish cloud governance frameworks, security controls, and compliance standards.
• Design robust DR, BCP, and multi-region deployment strategies.

• Mentor and lead cross-functional teams including DevOps, cloud engineers, and architects.
• Foster a DevOps culture and promote automation across engagements.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Provide strategic guidance on technology adoption and cloud roadmaps.
• Ensure successful delivery outcomes through effective coordination with project and product teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years in cloud engineering or architecture roles, including 4+ years in leadership positions.
• Proven experience leading large-scale cloud transformation projects (>$1M).
• Strong background in managing enterprise client relationships and technical pre-sales.

• Deep expertise in GCP services across:
  
  • Compute & Containers: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run
  • AI/ML & Data: Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow
  • Networking & Security: VPC, IAM, Cloud Armor
  • Storage & Databases: Cloud SQL, Spanner, Firestore
  • DevOps & Monitoring: Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, Monitoring & Logging
• Experience with multi-region architecture, cost optimization, and billing strategies.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise: Terraform, Deployment Manager
• Programming experience in Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, or .NET
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD, microservices, containerization, and API design
• Familiarity with service mesh and cloud-native development
• Strong observability and site reliability engineering (SRE) practices

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to lead workshops, present to executives, and support solution selling
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
• Ability to build business cases and lead customer engagements from discovery to delivery

• Industry experience in sectors such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, or Manufacturing
• Understanding of compliance frameworks: SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR
• Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or other delivery methodologies
