Exchange Consultant – 10-Month Contract – Onsite in Canberra

We are currently seeking a skilled Exchange Consultant to join a high-impact technology transformation project based in Central Canberra. This is a 10-month contract opportunity, offering the chance to work onsite with a respected global consultancy delivering enterprise-grade solutions across federal government clients.

Our client is a major consulting and digital services organisation with a strong and growing footprint in Canberra. Known for its collaborative and forward-thinking culture, the business partners with public and private sector agencies to deliver cutting-edge transformation projects spanning cloud, enterprise platforms, cyber, and AI. This role sits within a larger delivery program focused on secure communications infrastructure and platform modernisation. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, support, and maintain Microsoft Exchange environments (on-premises and hybrid)
• Administer and troubleshoot messaging services, mailbox migrations, and related infrastructure
• Support Exchange integration with identity and security platforms (e.g., Azure AD, M365, Defender)
• Deliver technical documentation, system health checks, and contribute to implementation roadmaps
• Collaborate with broader infrastructure and cloud teams to align Exchange services with wider ICT goals

• Must have an NV1 Clearence level
• Proven experience as an Exchange Consultant or Messaging Specialist in enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019, Exchange Online, and hybrid configurations
• Familiar with PowerShell scripting, Active Directory, and Office 365 environments
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Australian Citizenship is essential due to the nature of the client environment
