Electrical & Control Systems Engineer – (Defence)
- Hybrid – 2 days on-site per week
- Initial 3 Month Contract with a likely 12 Month Extension
The Role:
A short to medium-term contract opportunity is available for an experienced Electrical & Control Systems Engineer to support the end-to-end development of subsystem technology within a Defence project environment. This role involves working from design through to test and evaluation, with a focus on integrated, safety-critical systems.
The position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring two days per week on-site. It is suited to a technically strong engineer who can deliver in a fast-paced environment while supporting agile systems engineering practices and coordinating subcontracted activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing design documentation for electrical and control systems in a digital engineering environment
- Overseeing control of multiple integrated subsystems, including safety considerations
- Conducting test and evaluation of subsystems in the context of explosive ordnance
- Supporting an agile systems engineering approach to delivery
- Managing and coordinating subcontracted activities
- Experience in developing electrical and control system technology for Defence applications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in multi-disciplinary, fast-paced teams
- Familiarity with digital engineering tools and systems documentation
- Demonstrated experience with safety-critical or hazardous environments
- Baseline security clearance (active or eligible to obtain)
