About the Role
As the Lead Cloud DevSecOps Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the DevOps vertical, driving best practice across security automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud compliance frameworks.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Technology and leadership team to design secure, resilient, and scalable architectures, while mentoring engineers and embedding security into every stage of delivery.
This role isn’t just about keeping the lights on — it’s about shaping the future of DevSecOps and cloud security in an AI-enabled world.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Design and deploy secure, cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
🔹 Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
🔹 Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls.
🔹 Automate vulnerability management, compliance, and monitoring.
🔹 Lead and mentor DevSecOps engineers, embedding best practices.
🔹 Collaborate with engineering teams on scalable, resilient solutions.
🔹 Support MLOps pipelines for AI/ML deployment and monitoring.
What We’re Looking For
✔ 5+ years in DevSecOps, Cloud Security, or related fields.
✔ Strong cloud expertise (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
✔ Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, ArgoCD).
✔ Skilled in IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
✔ Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, Shell).
✔ Leadership experience – ability to guide and mentor others.
✔ Strong knowledge of security principles, IAM, encryption & network security.
✔ Australian Citizen
Bonus:
Cloud-native security tools (AWS Security Hub, Azure Defender, GCP SCC) or hands-on MLOps experience (Kubeflow, MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI).
