About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Analyst to join a high-performing ICT Operations team. This role provides critical end-user support across all levels of the organisation, ensuring smooth operation of corporate computing devices, Microsoft services, collaborative platforms, and enterprise applications.
The position will require both independent problem-solving and close collaboration within the IT support team. You’ll work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with exposure to senior stakeholders, including executives and directors.
Due to the nature of the work, an active AGSVA security clearance or Australian Citizenship and willingess to acquire a clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related hardware/software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Intune environments.
- Provide prompt and customer-focused support, ensuring incidents and requests are managed within agreed service levels.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately and collaborate with internal teams and vendors for resolution.
- Maintain accurate records in IT service management tools and contribute to IT knowledge bases.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL practices.
- Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, WHS, and relevant IT standards.
- Proven experience in desktop or service desk support roles.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM principles.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, and telecommunications issues.
- Experience with Azure AD, Intune, and remote desktop support tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Relevant IT qualifications or certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications) desirable.
