We’re looking for a Security & Quality Advisor to join our Adelaide based Defence team - someone who can blend security awareness, vetting insight, quality discipline, and a steady, people centred approach to uplift how we operate across the enterprise.
This isn’t a narrow compliance role. It’s a mix of assurance, improvement, collaboration, and trusted advisor work, supporting a mission driven organisation delivering capability into Australia’s Defence sector.
What you’ll be doing You’ll play a key role in strengthening our security posture and quality maturity by:
- Supporting Defence specific security requirements, including clearance obligations and the secure handling of sensitive information
- Contributing to vetting related activities and promoting a strong security culture across the organisation
- Conducting quality and process audits, identifying opportunities to improve controls, efficiency, and consistency
- Communicating clearly across teams to ensure complex ideas land with the right people in the right way
- Championing continuous improvement and helping teams adapt, innovate, and refine how we work
- Demonstrating our values in every interaction and supporting a respectful, safe, and high performing environment
- Providing people and/or technical leadership aligned to your level of experience
- Delivering against individual and team objectives that support our broader enterprise strategy
- Experience in security advisory, vetting, quality assurance, auditing, or a related discipline
- A practical understanding of Defence security frameworks (AGSVA, DISP, PSPF, ISM or similar)
- Strong communication skills - you can translate complexity into clarity
- A mindset geared toward improvement, structure, and doing things the right way
- The ability to work collaboratively across technical and non technical teams
- Current Security Clearance
