Job details
Infrastructure Architects design, implement and evolve the infrastructure (on-premises and/or cloud) that support an organisation's IT systems. Key duties and responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures on Azure and AWS. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define multi-cloud technical solutions.
- Lead end-to-end deployment of cloud solutions, including hands-on configuration, coding, and integration with Microsoft 365 services, Azure, AWS, on-premise and SaaS solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance standards for all cloud environments (ISM, PSFP, E8).
- Stay updated with the latest developments in AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365 services and best practices.
- Undertake more complex tasks and contribute to the strategic direction of the team.
- Cloud Architecture Expertise: Proven experience as a Cloud Solution Architect with hands-on implementation in Azure, Microsoft 365, and AWS is desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of core Azure (VMs, DevOps, Functions, Storage) and AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation) services, with additional experience in hybrid cloud environments.
- Modern Development Practices: Familiarity with GitLab, containerization, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Microsoft 365 Integration: Experience configuring and securing Microsoft 365 services, including integration across platforms.
- Communication & Certifications: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with relevant certifications in Azure, Microsoft 365, or AWS considered an advantage.
To be considered for the Cloud Solution Architect position, you should have most or all the following skills, qualities, and experience:
Mandatory:
- Current NV1
- A proven ability to implement end-to-end solutions that incorporate process, technology and security elements by working with native cloud services and leveraging automation tools
- Demonstrated experience with the following:
- Azure and M365 – General Platform & Service Knowledge
- DevOps Tools (Gitlab, Azure Devops)
- Infrastructure-as-Code
- Orchestration and Automation
- Integrations of SaaS solutions
- Design and implementation
- A proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams by fostering positive working relationships using well-developed communication skills
- A proven ability to document and communicate technically complex subject matter to both technical and non-technical audiences
- You will need significant cloud systems engineering experience and/or technical leadership in an enterprise context, with strong technical skills across a number of ICT disciplines
- Experience developing and delivering AWS solutions.
- AWS – General Platform & Service Knowledge.
