The role is around 30/40% hands on, and the rest will be stakeholder engagement & architecture work.
It is a Brisbane based role (Happy to consider Sydney too) and 50% work from home and 50% office work.
It is paying up to $200,000 inclusive of super and up to a 15% bonus. (Lots of other benefits I can run through too).
What you’ll do:
- Shape how platform teams design and consume cloud and infrastructure platforms
- Zoom out to understand the bigger picture & the why, not just the implementation detail
- Turn standards and reference architectures into real IaC (Terraform at scale)
- Be the technical authority people escalate to when decisions get complex
- Help balance speed, security, and governance in code, not committees
- Senior Platform / Cloud / Infrastructure engineer at Lead level
- Strong experience in Terraform + AWS or Azure
- Deep infrastructure knowledge (networks, identity, compute, storage)
- Able to influence engineers, architects, and stakeholders without line management
- Enterprise-scale thinking, with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
- Real influence across multiple teams and platforms
- Enterprise-scale problems while still being hands-on
