About the Role
A major transformation program is underway, and our client is expanding it's team with experienced Azure Engineers who can help deliver large‑scale workload migrations into a secure, enterprise cloud environment. You’ll play a hands‑on role across build, migration, cutover, and post‑implementation support, working within a structured change‑controlled setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deploy Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) templates to stand up core cloud components including compute, storage, and networking.
- Execute migration activities using Azure Migrate, runbooks, and approved change windows.
- Support test cycles and validation ahead of production cutover.
- Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to change management processes.
- Provide short‑term Hypercare support and assist with SOP creation.
- Operate within privileged Azure subscriptions while adhering to strict security and compliance frameworks.
What You Bring
- Strong hands‑on experience across Azure IaaS/PaaS and Azure Migrate tooling.
- IaC authoring skills using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Solid grounding in either cloud platform engineering (compute, storage, landing zones) or cloud networking/security (firewalls, load balancers, DNS/DHCP, NSGs).
- Comfort working within CAB‑governed environments and structured change processes.
- Understanding of cloud migration methodologies (8Rs framework).
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Experience delivering migration factory engagements.
- Familiarity with Australian Government cyber frameworks (ISM, Essential Eight, DSPF).
- Scripting capability in PowerShell, Python, or similar.
