Role Overview
We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to support the design, deployment, and ongoing management of cloud environments across a range of projects and BAU activities. This role will work closely with technical teams to maintain stable, secure, and scalable Azure services while contributing to automation, infrastructure improvements, and cloud best?practice adoption. The position involves a blend of operational support, environment configuration, and project?based work, with opportunities to influence cloud standards and uplift internal capability. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in dynamic environments, collaborating with cross?functional teams, and supporting both new initiatives and existing workloads.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the design, configuration, and maintenance of Azure cloud environments
• Support cloud migrations, environment builds, and deployment activities
• Contribute to automation initiatives, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Monitor cloud environments to ensure performance, reliability, and security
• Work with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and support BAU cloud operations
• Assist with governance, documentation, and continuous improvement of cloud processes
• Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams on cloud-related tasks
• Support project teams with environment setup, testing, and release activities
Requirements
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure services in an engineering or support capacity
• Understanding of cloud fundamentals such as virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity
• Exposure to automation tools, scripting, or CI/CD pipelines (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, or observability tools
• Ability to troubleshoot cloud or infrastructure issues in a structured manner
• Experience working in technical teams or supporting cloud?based applications
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non?technical stakeholders
• Willingness to work across BAU and project environments
• Any relevant certifications (Azure or general cloud) are beneficial but not essentiaAzure Cloud Engineer – Role Overview
