About the Role
Join a high‑performing cloud engineering team driving enterprise‑scale transformation across hybrid environments. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you’ll lead the design, automation, and delivery of secure, scalable infrastructure solutions using Azure and AWS. This hands‑on role combines technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to uplift cloud capability and reliability.
You’ll act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding architecture decisions, improving engineering practices, and ensuring compliance and security are embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small team of engineers to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS.
- Develop Infrastructure‑as‑Code and automation frameworks to streamline deployment and management.
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines with integrated security and compliance controls.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them.
- Produce clear, high‑quality documentation including architecture diagrams, operational guides, and procedures.
- Contribute to technical decision‑making, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote best practices in cloud engineering, reliability, and performance optimisation.
- Minimum five years’ experience in cloud infrastructure engineering within complex enterprise environments.
- Deep hands‑on expertise with AWS and Microsoft Azure, covering compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Proven experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitOps frameworks.
- Strong understanding of embedding security and compliance into cloud delivery pipelines.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to engage effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
