You'll join a collaborative, high-performing cloud team working to design, implement, and migrate containerised workloads from on-prem to AWS. You’ll also help uplift cloud governance, automation, and security practices across the organisation.
This is a full-time contract (40hrs/week) commencing ASAP through to June 2026, with strong potential for extension.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Designing, implementing, and operating secure, scalable and highly available cloud solutions.
  • Building and managing AWS Organisations, Landing Zones, Control Tower and related services.
  • Delivering IaaS compute workloads, container platforms, serverless resources, storage solutions, and monitoring/security services.
  • Automating cloud provisioning and deployments through scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Providing technical guidance to architects, developers, and project teams on cloud best practice.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement, innovation, and uplift of cloud capability across the agency.
What You’ll Bring Core Technical Skills
  • Strong practical experience across AWS Cloud services, governance and security.
  • Working knowledge of Azure cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Landing Zones, Control Tower, SCPs, and cloud governance frameworks.
  • Proven capability in automating cloud deployments (IaC), scripting (Python, HCL), and config languages (YAML/JSON).
  • Experience deploying cloud-native applications and hybrid-cloud solutions.
  • Solid understanding of cloud network, compute, and storage configurations.
  • Knowledge of secure cloud design principles and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience preparing for compliance and audit activities.
  • Professional certifications in AWS and/or Azure.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience implementing cloud tagging/naming standards and governance controls.
  • Familiarity with Azure Policy, AWS Control Tower governance, and SCP management.
  • Exposure to observability tools (e.g. Dynatrace).
About You
  • Highly self-motivated with strong ownership and delivery focus.
  • Strong analytical, research, and solution design capabilities.
  • Able to provide clear technical advice on complex matters.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong appreciation for version control, QA, repeatability, and deployment rigour.
  • Experience working in Agile and cross-functional environments.
