About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Change Manager to lead the people-side of a major data and analytics transformation. This role is all about driving adoption, capability uplift, and behavioural change across a large organisation as it transitions to a new enterprise data platform and enhanced data governance framework. You’ll be shaping clear, practical messages and strategies that help teams confidently embrace new ways of working with governed data.
What you will be doing
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive Change & Adoption Plan for enterprise data and governance initiatives.
- Coordinate onboarding communications for data ingestion, approvals, and use-case processes.
- Create practical playbooks and concise guidance for analysts and product owners (e.g., consuming governed data, retiring legacy reports).
- Run targeted readiness sessions for branches and regions, focusing on quick wins and clarifying what centralises vs stays local.
- Establish and manage a change champion network across key business areas to localise messaging and surface issues early.
- Partner with governance teams to embed standards, definitions, and awareness of tools like Purview.
- Define and monitor adoption metrics, including usage of governed data products, training completion, and sentiment tracking.
- Provide executive-level updates on change risks, mitigations, and adoption progress aligned with benefits realisation.
- Proven experience in change management roles within large-scale, public-sector or regulated environments.
- Ability to translate complex technical and organisational change into plain English for diverse audiences.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with executives, senior leadership, and unionised environments.
- Confidence in preparing and facilitating workshops and governance materials for senior decision-makers.
- Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills to craft compelling communications.
- Experience with data, analytics, or digital platform transformations.
- Familiarity with data governance concepts and tools (e.g., Purview).
- Background in performance monitoring, reporting, or business intelligence initiatives.
