Change and Communications Lead 
12 month contract 
Start date 6 April

About the role
We’re partnering with a large, forward‑thinking organisation delivering two major digital transformation initiatives. They’re seeking an experienced Change & Communications Lead to guide people, processes, and stakeholders through significant system and platform changes. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll shape strategy, craft clear messaging, build engagement, and drive adoption across multiple workstreams. Offered as an initial 12‑month contract with strong potential for extension.

What you will be doing
  • Developing and executing change management strategies, impact assessments, and transition plans.
  • Designing and delivering targeted communications aligned to project milestones and risks.
  • Creating high‑quality collateral including newsletters, FAQs, guides, templates, and digital content.
  • Establishing and maintaining digital communication channels and knowledge hubs.
  • Supporting business process transition and ensuring stakeholders feel confident and prepared.
  • Building and managing a change network to champion adoption and provide feedback loops.
  • Coordinating and facilitating training activities, materials, and sessions.
  • Supporting UAT planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagements
  • Monitoring business readiness and adoption metrics, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Leading a Business Reference Group and preparing agendas, minutes, and briefing packs.
  • Preparing participants for workshops, showcases, vendor sessions, and engagement events.
  • Contributing to benefits definition, tracking, and reporting.
  • Leading stakeholder engagement activities to build understanding and buy‑in.

What you will bring
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a dedicated change and communications role.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience delivering change within Agile environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, engage, and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to varied audiences.
  • Strong problem‑solving capability and a proactive approach to mitigating change risks.
  • Experience developing and delivering training and adoption materials.
  • Confidence facilitating workshops, supporting reference groups, and coordinating UAT
Bonus points for
  • Experience in digital transformation or higher education environments.
  • Certifications such as Prosci, CCMP, or AgilePM.
  • Familiarity with research, digital collections, or content management system uplift projects.
