Change and Communications Manager

We’re partnering with a government organisation to find an experienced Change and Communications Manager to lead and support a range of business improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys stakeholder engagement, and is passionate about driving meaningful change across complex projects. You’ll be joining a high-performing team focused on delivering impactful outcomes through structured change management and agile methodologies.

What you will be doing
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the development and implementation of change management strategies, iteration support, and project communications.
- Creating and maintaining key change artefacts including Change Management Plans, Stakeholder Analysis, Communication Plans, and Change Registers.
- Providing expert advice on change management principles, Human Centred Design, and readiness activities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and facilitating effective communication channels.
- Monitoring and reporting on change effectiveness, including readiness, engagement, training, and adoption metrics.
- Supporting agile project teams with planning, tracking, and continuous improvement cycles.
- Coaching team members in change management practices and promoting a culture of adaptability and collaboration.
- Aligning internal initiatives with change management principles and identifying training needs.
- Facilitating training sessions to uplift change capability across the organisation.
- Driving innovation and continuous improvement as part of a broader team.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Proven experience in leading change management within large or complex organisations.
- Strong understanding of change frameworks, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategies.
- Experience working in agile environments and supporting iterative delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to coach and influence others, including senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and reporting skills, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
- Experience in government or public sector environments.
- Familiarity with Human Centred Design principles.
- Exposure to change management tools and software.
- A passion for building capability and fostering a collaborative culture.
