About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Business Process Analyst to join a major process improvement initiative within the higher education sector. This project aims to transform a complex, multi-team software risk and compliance workflow—reducing manual effort, increasing transparency, and enhancing operational efficiency across procurement, privacy, security, legal, records management, and finance functions.

You’ll play a central role in redesigning processes, mapping workflow improvements, and supporting the introduction of automation and AI-enabled solutions.

What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will:

  • Lead stakeholder engagement across a wide range of business and technical teams to capture and analyse requirements.
  • Produce high-quality process documentation, mapping, and redesign aligned with BPMN and industry best practice.
  • Act as the link between business stakeholders, solution architects, UX designers, engineers, and project managers.
  • Critically analyse information from multiple sources to inform solution options and ensure alignment with organisational standards.
  • Support the development of project deliverables through analysis and quality assurance.
  • Assist with testing phases and collaborate with developers and testers to validate solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, data standards, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Contribute to identifying automation opportunities, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Help drive enhancements including automated claims, consolidated invoicing, AI-enabled reporting, and improved approval pathways.
What You Will Bring
To succeed, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in business process analysis, redesign, and mapping—ideally with exposure to finance-related processes.
  • Strong ability to rapidly elicit, document, and prioritise business requirements.
  • Experience producing process artefacts using BPMN standards.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work within agreed timeframes.
  • High attention to detail and a collaborative working style.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira and Zephyr for tracking and test management.
Bonus Points For
  • Experience in the higher education sector or similarly complex environments.
  • Exposure to process automation, workflow tools, or AI-driven process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of software procurement, risk assessment, or compliance workflows.
